You can contact the patient at any time in a variety of ways:
- Use the Opencare Messaging App:
- Select the appropriate appointment
- Click on ‘Message Patient’ at the bottom right
- Enter your message in the text box. Note: you can now preview your message before sending if you’d like by clicking ‘Preview Message’, otherwise click ‘Send Text Message’.
NOTE: This will be sent to the patient as a text message, and they will reply to that text message. You’ll be notified via email that the patient has sent you a message, and you’ll be able to see the conversation history in the message box.
2. Use the ‘Click to Call’ Feature:

- Select the appropriate appointment
- Click ‘Call Patient’ at the top left, just under the patient’s name.
- Your front desk phone will ring, and once you pick it up, it will prompt you to press ‘1’. Upon doing so, you’ll be connected with the patient directly via telephone.
